Sorry about the first comment, what I wanted to say is, Do you think that Nintendo should add the ability to talk during online races? I think this would be a great idea. How about you guys?

Hopefully this could be implemented in most Wii U Muiltiplayer games. It's be great.

Nah, not really. I don't see chat being too useful in Mario Kart 7 in general, and heck, I'd hate to hear the kind of stuff people would say if was there. Can you imagine the swearing whenever someone gets blue shelled?

Or whenever TUK loses?

Well I'm just saying this COULD be an idea. Instead of talking to yourself in a Mario Kart race, this would be a good idea. I don't even care if there is going to be bad language, I just want to give it a try.

I would agree with chatting before the races, but not with talking during the races. A little bit how it's made in MK7, but we could write what we want instead of pre-written messages.

I'd say it wouldn't hurt to add it, but only talk with friends.

At least I think Metroid Prime Hunters did that.

I think for MK7 it should only be allowed for people in your friends list. It'd be better off in co-op games like RE:M3DS instead though.

I don't think mario kart in general should have voice chat, just think of the 8-12 year olds effing every other sentence. It would be a mess! Though i do agree with
Shy guy (NintenDan) it would be a nice feature for friends only.

Well Here is what I came upon:

When I was in Wal-Mart the other day, I went to the electronics where they house some of the games and cell phones, and I came across a written part of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection thing and on the board it said "chat with friends during online play". Like Mario Kart 7 for example, Mario Kart 7 has online features, Like you can race each other. So why won't we be able to talk during online play? How do we do it?
