People have already talked about Majora's Mask 3D and A Link to the Past getting a remake, but is the best candidate for a remake in the Zelda series actually Zelda 2/Adventure of Link?
I suspect it might be. Why? Well for one thing, it's one of the few Zelda games which has never had a remake or updated edition in any form. Ocarina of Time got Master Quest and Ocarina of Time 3D, Link to the Past got a Satallaview remake and the Link to the Past + Four Swords game and Zelda 1 got a Satallaview remake too, but nothing like this ever happened to Zelda 2.
And so I think there's a lot of potential there. You've got a ton of room to improve the graphics and music significantly, you can overhaul the gameplay mechanics (like maybe getting rid the clunky level up system altogether) and maybe even bring the whole title into 3D or something.
What do you think? Is this a good idea?

I'd play it. The leveling made it a very unique game plus it was my first ever Zelda game.

Yeah. This game is great, but no one likes it cause it's too hard or some bull crap like that. If it were remade with rpg qualities like it had, it would be a fun game.

i think they need to remake the original The Legend Of Zelda with a completely reworked story and improved locations (since, lets face it, the original was SOOOOO dull)
Zelda 2 was... ok. i wasnt exactly a fan but i enjoyed it

I already had Zelda 2 on several formats but I purchased it on 3DS so I could use the save feature. It was always so difficult for me.

I think a Zelda 2 remake would be great, and I've always loved the overworld theme from it.
I can just imagine an orchestrated fanfare-ish version of this song in a remake of some sort.
